How To Get The Most From Your Rosé.

Follow these top tips to get the most from your Rosé.

  1. Rosé is the most versatile of all wines
    Rose Wine at Virgin Wines

If you only remember one thing about Rosé, it should be that it goes with virtually any food. Whether you are serving light red meat, white meat, fish, salad or vegetable based dishes, a dry Rosé will be a perfect match.

  2. Summer drinking = Rosé
Rosé is THE wine for summer drinking. Super-refreshing and full of fruit, it will make your mouth water just thinking about it. Rosé makes a great aperitif, works extremely well with food and, also, is fantastic for sipping on its own in the summer sun.

  3. It’s all about dry Rosé
These are the Rosés made from red grapes destined to produce a serious red wine. When red grapes are crushed, the first juice is pale pink and it gets darker and more tannic as the skins and pips are crushed too. Dry Rosé is made from the first run juice, with little or no contact with the skins. So you get all the fruit of a red wine and none of the tannin.

  4. Give Grenache a go
The Grenache grape produces some of the yummiest Rosés on the planet, with great fruit and low tannin. Rosé made from Shiraz or Gamay is also worth a taste. However, make sure you avoid sugary white zinfandel and blush based Rosés, especially if you don’t like sweeter style wines.

  5. Try a Rosé sparkler
If you fancy a change from your usual sparkling wine or champagne, why not try a sparkling Rosé? Great for celebrations, these Rosés look the part and taste great too. What’s more, a sparkling Rosé will cost you a fraction of the price of a big brand champagne.
